Sporting Chance Foundation is happy to report it has made great progress in its mission to provide clean water and education to the people of Haiti. This fall, Sporting Chance has provided a total of sixty students with the chance to attend school. To help ensure our scholarships are utilized, Sporting Chance, in its partnership with J'aime Haiti, all of the children and their families are meeting with volunteers with J'aime Haiti on a regular basis. |

The students enrolled in the program were selected through an aptitude contest organized in the community of Sainte Marie. For two days, one volunteer from J'aime Haiti worked with a megaphone in several disadvantaged communities of Port-au-Prince and publicized the available scholarships. A total of 60 students were chosen to participate in community and accelerated schools. Students selected for accelerated scholarships are members of families with high financial needs and have a capacity to learn and excel. A total of 8 schools accepted students, six accelerated schools and two community schools.
